Emotions Often Hidden

Rage
Worry
Solitude
Loss
Madness
Raw emotion is something that is often frowned upon when displayed in public. It can be considered rude, shocking, or even frightening for a lot of people to witness or be a part of.
There are few emotions that are determined to meet the approval of the public. With this series of images using light painting, color pertaining to each emotion, and varying degrees of focus, composition and framing, I wanted to display some of the emotions that might be outside that boundary of approval.
From rage to worry, solitude to loss and madness, oftentimes emotions that are roiling deep within us never make their way to the surface for fear of offending or worse: inconveniencing anyone around us. While I feel not all of these emotions are okay to let out in the company of others, I do believe society puts too much of an emphasis on politeness and trying to stamp out the very things that contributes to so much of how we are as humans.
